Twitter is a popular microblogging service that allows users to post brief messages about what they're currently doing, share comments on any subject, link to content on the Web, and anything else that can be typed within a 140-character message. Users can also reply to other users' posts (often called "tweets") by typing the "at" sign followed by the username, e.g. "
@theJoshMeister Thanks for the link!"
