I'd be leaning towards opening up even further to address national and international tech developments and their applications in addition to what you're already covering so well...

Also, LDS.net and LDSblogs.com are other venues where LDS bloggers are posting about their lives and reflections on the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Have a great day.

I think those three categories are already addressed on other sites like LDSTech etc. The wise use of the web for sharing the gospel is a common goal of this site and other LDS related sites already in existence so I think you should continue the current approach for ldswebguy. I like your current focus and ldswebguy is one of the sites I've visited on a regular basis since mid 2007.

I agree with Bryce, especially the separate RSS feed idea.

I like your blog because it addresses the subject of the Church's use of the internet and technology. There are not many blogs that address that subject. It is already very niche. I don't think you should narrow it down more or create separate blogs for the different tech-related subjects. I think you could do all of those things on ldsWebguy.com, perhaps using different categories for technical work, web products, and web tips. You could even provide unique RSS feeds for each category, which would virtually make separate blogs within your current blog, allowing visitors to subscribe to whichever feed they are interested in.

I am thinking of changing the ldsWebguy.com blog and opening it up to other guest bloggers who run other Church Web sites. Also thinking about the scope of that blog. Rather than covering a whole range of topics, should I narrow it down? Any ideas on whether I should I create separate blogs for:
• Technology for members who are curious about Church technical work and how to get involved.
• Church Web Products (announcements and discussion of new/updated Web content, applications, podcasts, and RSS)
• Wise Use of the Web (ideas for sharing the Gospel on the Internet; tips for Webmasters on creating great Web sites; using new Web 2.0 media; Internet Safety, etc.)
